I Don’t Need Awards Nor Hit Songs To Stay Relevant But Wendy Shay Does – Kelvyn Boy Fires Again (Video)
However, Afrobeat singer Kelvyn Boy after behaving in such manner doesn’t look to be backing down but has rather fired another shot towards Rufftown Records signee, Wendy Shay.
Kelvyn Boy who was speaking on Ghanaian radio station, Accra FM 100.5 indicated that he does not need awards nor hit songs to stay relevant in the music industry.
According to him, he will continue singing to stay relevant, on the other hand Wendy Shay needs the awards and hit songs to stay relevant.
“As for me, Kelvyn Boy, I don’t need hit songs or awards to stay relevant. They’re so many people when you asked them to play a song by me on phone, if you don’t take care, you won’t even get one person.” he said
“But when mention musicians with 4 to 5 hit songs, they still mention my name. And she(Wendy Shay) rather needs the awards and hit songs to stay relevant but I will sing and stay relevant” he added.
